I was born and raised in Germany and started an apprenticeship in a large local travel agency in the 1970’s with a degree in the travel and tourism industry. I continued working in the travel business in leisure, business travel and with the airline industry in Europe. After I married my husband that was in the US military we had the typical relocations within Europe and the U.S., before settling in Wichita. I joined Sunflower Travel in 2007. Being fortunate enough to travel all over the world, including Africa, Asia, India, Caribbean Islands, USA and lately the South Pacific has helped me increase my experience and specialties. Some of my specialties include; customized European itineraries, exotic beach getaways, city and cultural trips. Traveling is an education in itself! My children do not remember some Christmas presents they received years ago, but they do remember the time we spent together exploring the world!

While I have had many interests in life - one of which led me to obtain a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice - traveling has always been my strongest and truest passion.
Exploring the world has been a part of my life – something I was lucky enough to experience at a younger age than most. My first big adventure was to the vibrant island of Barbados at age 16. All it took was one new, culture-filled country and I was hooked! The more destinations I explored, the more I started to side-bar my love for criminal justice and make room for my bigger dreams of seeing the world. Eventually, an opportunity presented itself to go down a new path with Sunflower Travel and, although I have that bachelor’s degree ready and waiting - I’ve never looked back.
My goal as your advisor and your advocate is to help bring your biggest travel dreams into reality, to help you experience the world how you want to experience it. Each traveler has a unique vision and their own expectations for each vacation – I am here to partner with you and find out what those expectations look like to you and help bring your vision to life. Whether that vision includes an all-inclusive getaway to the Caribbean, a breathtaking wedding in a far-off destination, conquering Mount Kilimanjaro for that “top of the world” feeling (and perfect photo-op), or traveling on a custom-built itinerary through the wineries of France – if you can dream it, together we can build it.

Dream Maker - Since 1991

My love of travel started in 1976 when I was ten years old and my family flew to California for a vacation. My brother and I got to sing the Continental Airlines theme song “at Continental Airlines, we really move our tails for you” over the intercom. Continental gave our parents a bottle of champagne. I was hooked on travel. I started my career as a travel agent in 1991 and have been fortunate to work for and with great people at Sunflower Travel since 1998.
Every customer I work with has a different goal for their vacation, I like to find out what that is…maybe it is an excellent beach, city sights, museums, scenic beauty, relaxation, great cuisine or something else? Every travel experience is different, whether you want high adventure-rest and relaxation-or anything in between, is your choice. I can help you with travel almost anywhere in the world! The most rewarding part of working in the travel industry is helping others fulfill their travel dreams.

316 788 9397 – Derby, Kansas office
I began my travel career in 1994 as a part time travel consultant in our Wichita office while attending Wichita State University. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in marketing, I began full time employment in October of 1997 at our Derby branch as office manager and enjoy the benefits of doing business in and belonging to the small town community in which I was raised.
I have extensive experience in both corporate and leisure travel. I especially enjoy planning honeymoons and destination weddings to the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico and family vacations to magical Disney World, while at the same time, enjoy the fast pace and challenge of corporate travel. I relish the task of researching and planning vacations to both familiar and new destinations and by the very process, living vicariously through my clients. I’ve been fortunate to enjoy world destinations ranging from Disneyworld to Zimbabwe, Jamaica to Hawaii!
As a Certified Sandals Specialist travel agent and a preferred Couples agency, I am very familiar with the accommodations, amenities and services offered by both the Sandals and Couples brand adult only resorts throughout the Caribbean.
I've seen many changes during my tenure in the travel industry. I am proud to say we have weathered these changes, adapting and evolving to meet the ever changing challenges our world presents us today.
